Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using GigScroll ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
Description of Service
GigScroll is a lyrics teleprompter application designed for live performers. The App:
- Stores and displays song lyrics with auto-scrolling
- Organizes songs into setlists for performances
- Provides high-contrast stage-ready themes
- Works primarily offline with all data stored locally on your device
Purchase and Payment
Free Features
GigScroll is free to download and includes core teleprompter functionality.
Pro Upgrade
Additional premium features are available through an optional one-time in-app purchase:
- No subscription fees — pay once, own forever
- No recurring charges — your purchase never expires
- Future updates — included at no additional cost
Payment Processing
All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. Moonquake Media does not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. Purchases are subject to Apple's App Store terms and conditions.
Refunds
Refund requests must be made through Apple. We do not process refunds directly. Visit Apple's support page for refund requests.
License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Moonquake Media grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Download and install the App on devices you own or control
- Use the App for personal purposes, including live performance
- Access and use features according to your purchase status
Restrictions
You agree NOT to:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent purchase verification
- Redistribute App assets or bundled content
Your Content
Song Ownership
You retain all rights to songs, lyrics, and setlists you create or import into GigScroll. The App does not claim any ownership of your content.
Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content you add to the App. You agree not to use it with content that:
- Infringes on others' copyrights or intellectual property
- Is unlawful in your jurisdiction
- Violates any third-party rights
Local Processing
All data is stored locally on your device. We do not access, read, store, or transmit your songs or setlists.
Third-Party Services
Online Lyrics Search (Optional)
When you use the optional lyrics search feature, the App queries third-party APIs (ChartLyrics, Lyrics.ovh, iTunes Search API) to find song lyrics and metadata. Only the song title and artist name you enter are sent. These are public APIs that do not require authentication or track individual users.
Apple App Store
When you purchase the Pro upgrade, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple. We do not collect or have access to any payment information.
Disclaimers
"As Is" Provision
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy of lyrics search results
Lyrics Accuracy
Lyrics retrieved through the optional online search feature are sourced from third-party databases and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any lyrics before performance.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- Moonquake Media shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App
- We are not liable for any loss of data, songs, or setlists
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Moonquake Media from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Content you add to or share from the App
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe:
- Violates these Terms
- Is harmful to other users
- Is harmful to our business interests
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
